Former Austin Reed HQ acquired by In-Site Property

In-site Property Solutions Limited have acquired a 136,000 sq ft industrial property in Thirsk. The  former Austin Reed HQ sits on c.10 acres and will be available for a variety of uses, subject to planning. Although Ryedale District Council has identified the site for residential development, In-site are keen to retain at least 50,000 sq ft of existing modern high bay warehousing which will safeguard an employment element on the site.  

In-site’s managing director Alex Boyle said “We like to have development sites within our investment portfolio. Having recently sold some former industrial land to a residential developer, this site provides us with a great balance of potential residential / alternate use land. At the same time it further increases our core business which is to hold industrial stock. The 50,000 sq ft unit, which is available immediately, is one of very few of its size and quality in the vicinity. ”
